How to Install Webex Teams

Installing Webex Teams on your computer requires a few simple steps that can be completed in just a few minutes. Before you begin, make sure you have a PowerShell window open and are logged in as an administrator with full access to Control Hub.

The first step is to install the MicrosoftTeams PowerShell module if it's not already installed. To do this, run the command `Install-Module MicrosoftTeams -AllowClobber` in your PowerShell window. This will grant Webex Video Integration application access to your Microsoft tenant and redirect you to the Control Hub Video Integration Setup screen.

On the Video Integration Setup screen, select 'Accept' to validate the requested permissions. It's recommended that a Microsoft administrator with full administrator access to Control Hub performs these steps.

You'll then be prompted to authenticate at least two separate times. Select the account with Microsoft Tenant Global Administrator privileges and enter your credentials. On the Video Integration Setup screen, select 'Authorize'.

Once authorized, locate the Video Integration card for Microsoft Teams and select 'Set Up'. If the subdomain is not set for Webex Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) addresses, review the document on how to change your Cisco Webex SIP address.

Setting Up Video Integration

In Control Hub, navigate to Organization Settings > SIP Address for Cisco Webex Calling to check if your subdomain is set. Supported Device Types for One Button to Push (OBTP) configuration can also be set up in this section.

Before making any changes to your network, make sure you understand the potential impact of any command. All devices used in this document were started with a cleared (default) configuration and information was created from specific lab environments.
